You know how people go on about, *says all this in a flat boring voice*
“If you’re consistent in whatever you do, you’ll eventually be good at it.” Such boring bland advice. But it works wonders. And we realize that what we learn in our childhood, works miracles in the future.
Don’t believe me? Okay, let me tell you a story.
So there’s this guy called Bill Wadman.

He basically wanted to improve his photography. He decided that the only way to do so was to force himself to do something consistently for 365 days.

Hence the taking portraits of people for 365 days of the year.

Initially, he started the project by shooting his family members and friends. Later on, people started volunteering for him and soon he was emailing scientists, authors and musicians to shoot them.

He did it all this, consistently for 365 days.
LEMME REPEAT
365 days without giving up. Right. And that too for HIMSELF.

He really didn’t bother, if someone saw his work or not.
He did it because ‘he’ as an individual wanted to improve. And and and…
*throws flowers in the air*
*A little drum roll*
In 2007 his daily project won him praise from USA Today, the Times of London, Playboy, and his project was chosen as Yahoo Site of the Day (a big deal at the time).

Wow.

But my point is, be consistent. Good things will always come. He went through a lot of challenges and hardships. After reading a number of his interviews, he said that it was hardest to keep the motivation. And that he took 4-8 hours taking pictures every day. which eventually became he became his full-time job.

So don’t give up. It takes time.
Just believe in yourself and your abilities.

And I would like to end this blog post with none other than the words of Paulo Coelho from The Alchemist:
“And when you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it.”

P.S: Take a look at some of his artwork. : http://www.williamgeorgewadman.com/
All portraits are taken from his website.
There’s certainly a great deal to learn about this topic. I really like all the points you made.

Woah! I’m really loving the template/theme of this website. It’s simple, yet effective. A lot of times it’s very hard to get that “perfect balance” between user friendliness and visual appeal. I must say you have done a awesome job with this. In addition, the blog loads extremely quick for me on Chrome. Exceptional Blog!
