8 Reasons Why I think ‘YOU’ should ‘WRITE’

I know writing can be intimidating at times. YOU never feel good enough and even if YOU do, YOU realize there are lack of words to describe that experience. That’s why I love quotes, they say so much in just a few lines. Maya Angelou explained it the best,

This was why I began writing. I HAD A STORY TO TELL FULLSPOT. I knew even if I didn’t have the words, I trusted myself enough to begin the journey.

Of course, there are times when you feel like your rambling on and on, having no clear vision or goal in place. I along with these beautiful quotes am here to remind YOU, YOU aren’t alone in this process so BREATHE & don’t be so hard on yourself.

It’s only through writing YOU become a better writer. And to become a writer, YOU need to know yourself and to know yourself YOU must write.

Once you have written and gotten things off your chest. Remember this, even champions once were beginners.

Hard to imagine right, but our favorite authors were once beginners as well, which of course, reminds me of another quote, “You don’t need to be a champion to begin, you must begin to become a champion,” which segues me to the next quote

And that’s the beauty of writing you keep at it

As the above quote says, it takes immense discipline, grit, perseverance to overcome these challenges and we should never stop trying. As you will read the next quote YOU’D realize YOU aren’t alone in ‘Avoiding’ to Write!

And I’m sure there will come a time when you will find solace in your excuses and feel you have nothing to write about, that is exactly when you need to kick yourself up and remember this quote

As Rumi said, don’t stand in your own damn way. Allow yourself to grow, make mistakes and always remember that

Even writers have mental blocks for years. George Martin, the author of Game of Thrones took six years to write ‘ A dance with dragons.’ Don’t compare yourself just be honest with your reason to Write and do exactly that.

A final quote to begin your writing journey

This quote reminds me of a conversation I had with my old friend, Laura, I had told her that while I was in school, I surrounded myself with great students that spoke and read well enough to coherently express themselves. It definitely pushed me & I vividly remember telling myself, “Well if you really want it bad enough, you’ll find ways to describe the experience.

Years later, recounting this old story to Laura reminded me that she didn’t want to know about India’s in general, she wanted to know ‘MY’ experience of India and that made me gleam with joy!

Say what you feel you never know who you might inspire
